“When I began working at Organa Labs, it was very small,” Hoffman says. “We were making $30,000 a month and O.pen Vape was not a brand yet. I helped oversee production and operations at the Colorado facility for two years. When I left the lab to focus on national expansion, we were doing $1.2 million in sales per month in Colorado.” Within four years, Hoffman was overseeing the set-up, execution and training for several of the company’s labs, including the first legal cannabis extraction operation in Jamaica. “I’ve helped open eight labs, but there are more opening up every month,” Hoffman says. “Reno and Las Vegas just came online and New Mexico is soon to follow.” Hoffman now works as the general manager of operations for O.pen Vape’s processing facility in Oregon. “Right now I am coordinating the build-out of a 9,000-square-foot extraction facility in Portland,” she says. “Once we get up and going I’ll be overseeing daily operations, including the production and distribution of a variety of infused products, from the intake of raw materials all the way to the product going out the door and being sold.”
Crystal Hoffman
Before Crystal Hoffman became the “Empress of Extraction,” she was a budtender at Colorado Harvest Company. But life behind the sales counter wasn’t in the cards for her. Just months after starting, the owners of Colorado Harvest Company asked her to run their sister lab.
