One RADΒ Event
The nationβs first trade show aimed specifically at the retail side of the cannabis industry finished its inaugural run to rave reviews as the Retail and Dispensary (RAD) Expo drew thousands of marijuana retailer store owners, managers and employees to Portland, Oregon on Jan. 17-18.
Unlike most cannabis trade shows, the RAD Expo, hosted by Marijuana Venture, not only focused on the needs of retailers, but let qualified attendees in free, creating a marketplace for business that allowed vendors to focus their time on actual business owners, rather than consumers and tire-kickers.
With more than 100 vendor booths offering everything from flooring to point-of-sale systems, insurance and security to glassware and rolling papers and everything in between (including a Farmerβs Market featuring
cannabis growers in Oregon), attendees were able to spend two days gathering everything they need to open or improve a successful cannabis retail outlet or dispensary.
Along with the trade floor, the RAD Expo also hosted four panel discussions featuring marketers, design experts, lawyers and successful retailers willing to share their expertise and answer questions from the audience.Β Each of the seminars were free to attendees.
Plans are already underway for the second installment, tentatively set for fall 2018. Look for further details in next monthβs issue of Marijuana Venture.
