To celebrate National Brownie Day on December 8 — and to announce the launch of the Bubby’s Baked line of cannabis-infused brownies and cookies — MariMed baked what is believed to be the largest brownie ever.
The cannabis-infused colossus weighed in at 850 pounds — more than three times the weight of the brownie produced in 2013 that holds the Guinness World Record (a 234-pound treat baked by Something Sweet Bake Shop in Alabama). However, after applying for a Guinness World Record, MariMed was denied because the organization “no longer accepts applications or creates new record titles that are related to the consumption, preparation or use of tobacco, cannabis or nicotine products.”
Still, the Massachusetts-based company’s promotional brownie was a feat of engineering, with its 212 pounds of butter, 450 pounds of sugar, more than 1,300 eggs and 20,000 milligrams of THC.
