High Tide
Hot off reporting more than CA$2 million in sales during its 4/20 weekend, High Tide also hit a major milestone of obtaining more than 1 million members in its Cabana Club loyalty program. The program, which is employed across the Canadian retail giant’s 152 stores, saw 110% growth from 473,161 members on 4/20 in 2022.
“This explosive growth in customer loyalty has contributed to generating record sales via our bricks-and-mortar network in Canada and our international online platforms on ‘4/20’ of over CA$2 million, which is an improvement of over 64% from the previous week,” High Tide CEO Raj Grover said in a press release.
Stairway Cannabis
Readers of the Kansas City Star recently voted Stairway Cannabis in Blue Springs as their favorite dispensary in the greater Kansas City Mero Area. Stairway Cannabis regional manager Johnathan Harper said he was caught off guard by the news, as most of the company was busy getting ready to open its second location in Branson, Missouri.
“I’m going to be real – I didn’t even know we were nominated,” Harper says. “It’s crazy because I am a standalone store and we beat out chains with 15 stores.”
Stairway Cannabis took first place with 2,110 votes out of more than 5,000 votes from the newspaper’s readers.
STIIIZY
STIIIZY’s Joint Efforts volunteers in March supported the Arbor Festival in the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco, an event hosted by the San Francisco Public Works Department. The team of volunteers, including STIIIZY’s director of social impact DeRon Waller, along with Mayor London Breed and Bay Area advocate group United Playaz, spent the day planting dozens of Acacia trees around the SoMa neighborhood and Bessie Carmichael Elementary School.
In addition to the company’s donated labor, STIIIZY has also surpassed more than $1 million in donations to community non-profits.
Canna Provisions
Massachusetts retailer Canna Provisions swept the cannabis-related awards in Best of the Valley 2023, a readers’ poll for the area’s 50-year-old local culture and alternative news weekly, The Valley Advocate. The company was awarded Best Cannabis Dispensary, Best Cannabis – Recreational Adult 21+, Best Pre-rolls, Best Edibles, Best Events, Best Apparel, Best Accessories, Best Variety and Best CBD.
Prior to winning the string of awards from the Western Massachusetts publication, Canna Provisions CEO Meg Sanders was also voted New England Cannabis Business Leader of the Year for 2023 at the Community Awards at NECANN Boston 2023.
Growlytics
Growlytics, a white-label supplier of about 40 different dispensaries in the Colorado market, was recently named “Best Cannabis Grower You’ve Never Heard Of” in the 2023 Best of Denver awards from Denver-based independent newspaper Westword. The paper said the Growlytics cultivation team is “on the cutting edge of cannabis, with particularly impressive versions of Spritzer and Wookie Monster [strains].” Prior to being named in this year’s Best of Denver, the producer set a record for terpene content in the state in 2021 and won six awards for its terpenes and potency in the 2020 Grow-Off competition.
