Nominations are now being accepted for the inaugural Emjays International Cannabis Awards Show, recognizing cannabis businesses and individuals who are leaders and innovators in 24 categories to be given out this fall in Las Vegas.
The award show, described as a “classic Vegas show with a psychedelic twist,” is a joint effort of Farechild Events, led by Dave Tran and James Zachodini, formerly of Dope Magazine, and MJBizCon. It is scheduled for November 30 at the Palms Hotel & Casino’s Pearl Concert Theater. According to a press release, the Emjays look to recognize cannabis businesses and leaders, “especially those who focus on the ancillary services and products that support the cannabis industry.”
Categories for the award show include Advocacy Group of the Year, Investment Firm of the Year, Accounting Firm of the Year, Cannabis Friendly Bank of the Year, Cannabis Law Firm of the Year, Market Research/Data Firm of the Year, Branding/Marketing Agency of the Year, Public Relations Agency of the Year and Nonprofit/Trade Association of the Year, Testing Lab of the Year, Business Software of the Year (CRM, ERP or Seed to Sale Software), Packaging Company of the Year and Lighting Company of the Year.
Other categories include Cannabis Podcast of the Year, Social Content Creator of the Year, Seed Bank of the Year and Apparel & Lifestyle Brand of the Year, among others.
Nominations are open to the public. Final voting will begin July 30 and include a combination of public voting and an internal committee of industry professionals formed by the event producers. For more information and a complete list of categories, visit www.theemjays.com.
