Valentine’s Day might not be traditionally considered a cannabis holiday, but that doesn’t mean well-prepared shops won’t be able to capitalize on shoppers seeking gift ideas for their sweetheart.
Chocolates, already a staple of V-Day, are particularly popular for cannabis retailers. According to BDSA, retail sales of cannabis-infused chocolates were up 13% during the week of Valentine’s Day compared to any other week in February last year.
Also according to BDSA, 56% of cannabis consumers claim that they have used cannabis as part of their date nights, while 44% of consumers report always using cannabis on date nights.
