Bo Le Grand Age: 30 Company: Edibles List/Edibles Magazine Position: CEO and editor in chief “When you went from shop to shop in SoCal, there were no consistent edibles, no labels on the packaging,” Le Grand says. “You had no idea what you were eating.” Some edibles had no punch whatsoever, while others packed a surprising wallop into a tiny package — with no way for consumers to tell what they were getting. In 2010, Le Grand began to work on what she calls “the Yelp of edibles.” It started as a simple webpage, where she would catalogue the different edibles on the market, including the manufacturer, potency and any information she could gather about ingredients. Social media propelled Edibles List through its first year. “The whole point, for me, was to find healthy edibles,” Le Grand says. Over the past six years, Edibles List has grown significantly in both page visits and advertisers. In 2013, the website was the basis for a one-off print magazine, which is now distributed monthly throughout California.
