As a personal trainer and health coach, Brittany Carbone discovered the combination of CBD and ashwagandha provided a natural solution for stress management, inflammation relief and overall balance — including alleviating her own anxiety and mood disorders — that could potentially help millions of people across the country.
Carbone used that formula as the basis for launching her New York-based company, TONIC.
“I decided I needed to share this with the world,” Carbone says. “I have always been passionate about helping others. It is the common thread in all paths I have ventured down before arriving at TONIC — and it is what motivates me to keep pushing day after day.”
The company has its own hemp farm in upstate New York that provides the CBD extract for TONIC’s tinctures. The company also gets CBD isolate from LaurelCrest, which processes organically hemp grown hemp in Oregon, for its topicals.
But it’s more than just the CBD that makes TONIC stand out in the market.
“Our proprietary blends combine synergistic plant-based ingredients like black seed oil, ashwagandha, lemon balm and passionflower with high-quality hemp extracts to create elevated, individualized wellness solutions,” Carbone says. “All of our products are handcrafted in small batches and go through two rounds of third-party lab testing to ensure quality and purity.”
TONIC products are currently sold online and through about 50 independent, boutique retailers across the country.
