An apparently intoxicated customer threw a display case of glass pipes and other merchandise at an employee Feb. 11 during an incident at the Higher Leaf recreational marijuana shop in Kirkland, Washington.
According to the store, the customer in question entered the store with a female companion just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11. Security at the shop immediately identified the patron as being intoxicated and asked him to leave.
The customer refused and the security team worked to calm the customer and asked him again to leave. In a security camera video, employees can be seen talking with the customer, who appears to be moving toward the exit before reaching out and swiping at the display, launching off a counter and into the back of an employee.
Kirkland police were notified and responded quickly, but the customer left the scene before police arrived. No one was injured in the incident. Police are investigating.
