With Super Bowl week upon us, former NFL quarterback Jim McMahon is bringing all his athlete friends and other supporters to the site of the big game for a major fundraiser to benefit The Gridiron Greats Assistance fund, a nonprofit that aims to assist retired NFL players and their families in need of health care services.
McMahon, a two-time Super Bowl champion during his playing days, including the fabled victory in Super Bowl XX as one of the greatest teams in NFL history, will host the Gridiron Greats Celebrity Classic on February 9 at Angel Park Golf Course in Las Vegas — two days before Super Bowl LVIII is played at Allegiant Stadium.
The event will include golf, photo opportunities, live entertainment, celebrities and athletes, including Johnny Damon, Grant Fuhr, Goose Gossage, Calvin Johnson, Greg Maddux, Ricky Williams, Steve Young and more.
The event costs $100 for general admission, $200 for a VIP bracelet, $225 for individual golfers, $675 for three golfers with a celebrity and $1,125 for the ultimate experience.

Hosted by Revenant, the cannabis brand founded by McMahon and fellow former football players Kyle Turley and Eben Britton, the event aims to send a strong message to the NFL and other sports organizations that fail to recognize the medical potential of cannabis.
This is the second year of the event after a successful debut in Arizona last year, which was named the Best Weed Infused Sporting Event of 2023 by Phoenix New Times.
“We can’t wait to bring this event to Vegas after the success of last year’s debut tournament in Arizona,” McMahon said in a press release. “Along with golfing and mingling with celebrities and athletes, we’ll be sending a message to the NFL about the power of cannabis as an alternative to opioids and other harmful prescription drugs.”
