California-based multi-state operator STIIIZY presented a check for $293,539 to Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval in an effort to help improve Pomona parks and schools.
STIIIZY director of social impact DeRon Waller and vice president of expansion and public affairs Stephanie Uy worked with Pomona city officials to identify the community organizations most in need of the company’s pledged support. Waller and Uy presented the donation to Mayor Sandoval at the city’s John F. Kennedy Park on July 28, 2023.
“The operating license agreement we made in cooperation with the City of Pomona sets aside a certain percentage of our sales that specifically goes toward improving schools and parks within a half-mile radius of our STIIIZY Pomona location, and we’re excited to donate $86,157 more than last year,” Waller said in a press release.
