With invisible, always-on storefront glazing security
This series of articles is an introduction to the multi-level security film and/or system options available to you. In our previous articles, we broke down the four tiers: security film, TRI-SHIELD®, Riot Glass®, and Ballistic Glass. In this article we will focus on Riot Glass.
When it comes to selling marijuana, retailers have their work cut out for them. Some stores in particular, struggle with prevalent break-ins and theft. If those locations were exclusively large cities, one could better understand. Historically, crime has been higher in those areas. But there seems to be no rhyme or reason – other than the marijuana market is hot!
Break-ins are most alarming during working hours. Employees and patrons are likely to find another place to be if their environment feels unsafe. Elevated security protection can go a long way in assuring those individuals that your retail store is the best place to be to meet their cannabis needs. Riot Glass is a popular response to theft for management of varied retail storefronts.
Riot Glass Gen I
This window security system was introduced in 2016. Riot Glass, Gen I was created as a breakage resistant option for buildings and storefronts. Essentially, a high-impact resistant polycarbonate sheet is retrofitted on the outside of the glass you already have and braced into an aluminum frame. This protects the glass from being shattered, and most importantly, entry.
The company has recently launched a new and improved, Gen II version. You can’t go wrong when you have a powerhouse product, and then upgrade by listening to client’s insight in order to elevate the invention.
Riot Glass Gen II
The upgrades in Riot Glass, Gen II are impressive. They have improved both the aluminum framing system, as well as the Riot Glass itself. The aluminum framing system is more flexible. This allows for exponential amounts of impact to be absorbed when the security system is abused. Thus, every time a culprit attempts to break your windows or doors, even with a blunt, weighted object, the Riot Glass II system affords additional room for flexibility within the system to prevent breakage.
Ultimately, Riot Glass Gen II, is designed to withstand prolonged attacks with heavy, blunt objects. The unique design of the Gen II framing system absorbs the shock of high levels of kinetic energy. When combined with our virtually indestructible infills, shock waves from attacks are allowed to dissipate to the edges – minimizing weakening effects.”
If those attributes aren’t impressive enough, the thickness of protective polycarbonate infills have more than doubled. Furthermore, there are additional and numerous options of thicknesses to choose from depending on your needs.
Another improvement in Gen II is additional noise mitigation. If outside noise is an issue for you, Riot Glass II can eliminate those annoyances too. Finally, the installation process has been made easier and more efficient. You won’t have to close up shop and lose revenue during installation.
