The San Francisco-based technology company Treez was the only cannabis-focused business to earn a spot on this year’s Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of North America’s 500 fastest-growing companies in the technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech and energy tech fields.
The prestigious list includes both public and private companies, with current-year operating revenues of at least $5 million. The winners are selected based on revenue growth from fiscal year 2017 to 2020.
Treez, a private company that provides enterprise cloud services to streamline cannabis operations, ranked No. 225 on the Fast 500 with 597% growth in revenue.
The award caps off a wildly successful year for Treez that included being ranked No. 13 in the San Francisco Business Times Fast 100, a list of the fastest-growing companies in the Bay Area, and No. 812 on the Inc. 5000, which ranks the fastest-growing private companies in America.
“We are truly honored to be included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500,” Treez CEO John Yang said in a press release. “This latest recognition is directly a result of the dedicated hard work from our employees, who continue to deliver the cannabis industry’s most innovative cloud retail commerce platform, and the trusted relationships we have achieved with our valued customers.”
Treez currently operates in seven state markets and is in the midst of a rapid national expansion.
