“The challenges of figuring out a new business as you go is a lot of fun,” he says. “It’s hard work, but I definitely enjoy the challenge.”
Bowers has quickly become one of the more recognizable faces in the crowded Washington marketplace by remaining at the forefront of industry politics. He was instrumental in starting the Cannabis Organization of Retail Establishments (CORE) and helping to guide the changes that will shape the future of legal marijuana in Washington.
“I think it’s really critical that we make this industry successful, because there are such huge consequences to the War on Drugs and the social justice issues around cannabis,” he says.
